An event within the event

After Pumpkin, Obvy and Alertcys, our Pitch Contest is back this year in a brand-new version to highlight the talents of tomorrow.

A completely re-designed Contest

The 2019 Fin&Tech Masters will allow the best Startups from Fintech, RegTech,
LegalTech and InsureTech to compete for the Champion title in their respective categories.

This Pitch Contest is intended to be resolutely different from what is currently being done in order to allow everyone to stand out.

3 pools for 3 champions

Participants in the Fin&Tech Masters 2019 will be divided into 3 distinct categories in order to create a climate of equality between participants and deliberations based on harmonised criteria for juries:

Product in design stage

Less than 18 months / 6 participants

Product in growth stage

Less than 18 months / 6 participants
If more than 36 months, less than 18 on market

Product in POC stage

Less than 18 months / 6 participants

Allocations that meet real needs

One company per pool will be selected as the winner and rewarded with a prize in line with its level of maturity. The latter will of course benefit from the visibility of the announcement of the results in the press on 11 October 2019.

Rolling out of the Fin&Tech Masters

Each participant will have 5 minutes to pitch his or her project before the audience and the members of the jury.

The public will be able to send their questions directly to the participants, and the best will be asked. The jury will also have time for interaction to ask questions and make comments. The questions and answers will last 10 minutes.

The public vote will count as two votes, and therefore has a direct impact on the results.

Preparation for the competition

Participants will be able to benefit from two hours of coaching before the start of the competition with Louis-Alexandre de Froissard and Charles-Henri Gougerot-Duvoisin. An opportunity to exchange and benefit from valuable advice to better manage the pitch.

Debriefing

Participants will receive feedback after their presentation in order to analyse their performance and find areas for improvement or identify the qualities on which capitalising.

How to participate?

This year, the organization will not be alone in choosing the contest participants. The public will also be involved.

2 participants from each pool will be chosen by the Internet users.

All applications must be submitted with a PDF presentation of up to 10 slides, a 1’30” minute video shot with the Makidoo application to support three points:

  • Concept

  • Progress stage

  • Vision & next steps

These various videos will then be available online on our social networks, and Internet users will be able to vote for their favourite projects.
At the end of the votes, the 2 candidates with the most votes from each pool will be qualified to participate in the final phases in Bordeaux during the event.
The other 4 participants per pool will be chosen by our teams and various experts in the sector.

How does Makidoo App work?

Makidoo is a mobile guided video shooting and automated editing application that allows you to create professional-quality content. The solution ensures the production of dynamic, scripted and aesthetic videos by users who do not necessarily have specific technical skills. Choose a scenario, follow the shooting guide and let the editing take place automatically.
